The images of plants and animals gave me the initial inspiration for painting, but once I picked up the brush, I no longer looked back at these images, just simply painted, and realized that I was gradually deconstructing the image elements.
"Painting also creates shapes."
The combination of lines and planes no longer forms bodies but is presented as a single shape.
From the original image to the final formation process, a distorted shape that even I find wonderful was born. A lovely shape.

About the Solo & Satellite exhibition
Hashimoto Naoko is having her first overseas exhibition in four years, during which she experienced the pandemic and became a mother. Naoko's creation extends from her skillful use of fabric to drawing on paper.
During the interview she mentioned: "After having a child, I deeply realized that time is limited. The time spent on creating allows me to face myself. This is a precious thing, and I also realize that creating is not only a release but also an act of preserving my true self."
As an artist and textile designer, Naoko's natural and authentic creative style can gently integrate into daily life. This time in Taiwan, she chose to hold a Solo exhibition featuring paintings at the design gallery: PONDING, and to display home decoration works in the craft lifestyle space CHUZI Dialogue in the form of a satellite exhibition.
In CHUZI Dialogue, you can not only see paintings but also the latest fabric flower design "Brave" for 2024 and various textile home decorations. These works echo the concept of CHUZI Dialogue: to create through craftsmanship and natural elements, allowing art to naturally integrate into life.
關於 Solo & Satellite exhibition
Hashimoto Naoko
Solo exhibition,
